International  Exchange

       Institute of Geotechnical Engineering in Southeast University(IGESEU) has been doing many efforts on international exchange and cooperation. We have established good cooperation relationships with Ghent University in Belgium, Saga University in Japan and American PDA Co. Ltd. etc. We will strength further cooperation including exchange of graduates, faculty members and sharing scientific results for each other. Meanwhile we actively develop international cooperation with famous American University of Michigan, Japan national research Institute. We encourage young faculty members to study or doing research abroad and participate international academic conferences to strength their international communication abilities.

Sep. 1997 Prof. Liu Songyu participated the 14^th international soil mechanics and geotechincal engineering in Hamburg.

2000.11.18~11.28 Prof. Liu Songyu participated the first international geotechnical engineering conference in Melbourne, Australia and published a paper.  

2002.5 2002.5 Prof. Miao LinChang participated the  international unsaturated soil conference in Brazil  and published a paper.

2002.6 Prof. Prof. Xuede Qian,Michigan Department of Environmental Quality visited Institute of Geotechnical Engineering visited Institute of Geotechnical Engineering in Southeast University and was engaged visiting professor of Southeast University.

1997~1998 Prof. Liu Songyu as presider of chinese part undertook a project sponsored by 欧共体 with Ghent University.
